The Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Brawijaya (FKG-UB) in collaboration with the Indonesian Dentists Association (PDGI) Malang and PT Unilever held an educational Webinar on the National Dental Health Month (BKGN), Wednesday (2/12/2020) via Zoom meeting. The activity with the theme “Advance In Endodomic and Restoration Treatment on Anterior Teeth In Pandemic Era” is a series of UB 58th Anniversary.
The webinar was attended by 480 participants from various regions in Indonesia and aims to provide knowledge about the protection and treatment of endodontic and anterior teeth restoration for dentists and professional students.
The speaker, drg. Chandra Sari Kurniawan, Sp. KG as a lecturer at FKG UB explained about “Excellent in Anterior Direct Composite Restoration during Pandemic”. In his presentation, he explained that a dentist is required to be able to understand what the patient wants.
“This includes material characteristics, where dentist must understand the characteristics according to the patient’s condition, then Art, which is the ability to restore the missing tooth anatomy, and finally the function, which is to restore tooth function such as chewing and so on.
Furthermore, Chandra conveyed several stages of treatment, namely inspection, the principles of preparation, adhesive bonding, compositing, restoration techniques, and finishing and polishing.
The event begins with remarks and an opening by the Dean of FKG UB, Dr. Nur Permatasari, drg. She hopes that the event can run well.
