Faculty of Medicine University of Brawijaya (FK-UB) this year brought home 2 awards from ISMKI (Ikatan Senat Mahasiswa Kedokteran Indonesia/Indonesian Bonding of Medical Student Senate) in the event so-called the 4th Indonesian Medical Student Summit (IMSS) that is organized for the fourth times.
This year, IMSS located at Sultan Agung Islamic University, Semarang, Central Java. IMSS is ISMKI’s routine agenda as national conference event, scientific competition, educational video competition between Medical Student Senate all over Indonesia.
In the IMSS, there was also a conferment of many nominations from universities with particular achievement universities. The event also followed by ISMKI’s completeness agency named National Research Agency or National Press Agency.
FK-UB’s student achievement at IMSS this year including events with the largest target for the 2015 FK-UB’s community services and month of devotion for free cataract surgery for Malang regions.
The 2015 FK-UB’s community service is FK-UB Student Executive Agency’s working program in form of health promotion event and free health-service for selected villagers.
The event is very tremendous since elaborate 6 study programs that concern in health subject to give free counseling and health services, social service, and also cultural night for the society. Month of services of free cataract surgery is also no less intense. The program is a collaboration between Faculty of Medicine University of Brawijaya, Faculty of Medicine Islamic University of Malang and Faculty of Medicine Muhammadiyah University of Malang has assisted dozens of people to have free cataract surgery.
