The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Brawijaya (FISIP UB) and Blitar Regency Government are exploring the potential for cooperation between the two parties. This discussion began on Monday (11/7/2022).
Almost all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) of Blitar Regency Government came to explore this collaboration.
Head of Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Blitar Regency, Asmaningayu explained that his party is very open to cooperate with FISIP UB.
“Of course, FISIP can explain first what can be done between Blitar Regency Government and FISIP UB,” he said.
Representing Blitar Regency Government, Asmaningayu explained that the things needed by FISIP would be followed up with consideration and input from Blitar Regency Government OPD.
“We from Blitar Regency Government, in principle, really support this process in order to make the two institutions better,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FISIP UB, Dr Sholih Muadi SH., M.Si explained that from the potential that exists in FISIP, it is very possible if Blitar Regency Government wants to cooperate.
“First, we have MBKM program. This is the Minister’s program that students must practice in the field which is recognized with credits,” he said.
According to Sholih, MBKM program can be useful for Blitar Regency Government if there is a program for fieldwork that can be done by students.
Sholih said that the potential of FISIP UB lecturers with a total of 184 people spread across 6 study programs is also extraordinary.
“For example, the district government has a psychological test that can take advantage of us. There is Government Science that can talk about the development of regional apparatuses,” continued Sholih Muadi.
Furthermore, the man who is also a lecturer at the Political Science Study Program opens the opportunity for civil servants in Blitar Regency Government who already holds a Master’s degree to continue studying for the Doctoral program.
“We have a Doctor of Sociology that can only do it with research. This is certainly an opportunity for civil cervants and several other things that can be done together,” concluded Sholih Muadi. (Humas FISIP/Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
