The Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB), officially released the Students Build Village (MMD) in two stages. The first stage of the release was held on Sunday (7/7/2024) and the second stage on Monday (8/7/2024). The release of MMD FILKOM UB 2024 was guided by Ristika Kurnia Nestiorini, S.P., taking place in the junction corridor connecting buildings F and G. The release was attended by the dean of FILKOM UB, Prof. Ir. Wayan Firdaus Mahmudy, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D., accompanied by the ranks of the dean and the committee of the MMD 2024 activities.
The opening agenda was a report from the chairman of the MMD FILKOM UB 2024 committee delivered by Ir. Widhy Hayuhardhika Nugraha Putra, S.Kom., M.Kom. In this release report, he said that 779 students were registered in MMD in 2024. MMD 2024 will be accompanied by 30 Field Supervisors (DPL). A total of 56 groups are spread across 56 villages with details of 10 sub-districts with 4 regencies in East Java. MMD 2024 has 3 new locations, namely Blitar, Jombang, and Kediri. For Sunday (7/7/2024) a total of 98 MMD students were released in phase one and Monday (8/7/2024) a total of 681 MMD students were released in phase two. MMD briefing has begun on Friday (7/6/2024), carried out four times every Friday (14/6/2024, 21/6/2024 and 28/6/2024). The speakers have been adjusted to the theme of MMD 2024, namely (Information Technology) IT For Better Life.
The next agenda is a prayer led by Tibyani, S.T., M.T. and continued with a speech by the Dean of FILKOM UB. In his speech, he said that this MMD activity should be carried out with full mandate. The reputation and achievements of UB and FILKOM which are already good must be maintained properly. Because once the good name of UB and FILKOM is tarnished, restoring public trust will be difficult. Take advantage of this MMD activity to improve the quality of life as well as opportunities for knowledge sharing and innovation where MMD is located, in accordance with the theme of MMD, IT For Better Life, FILKOM For Society.
