Rector Evaluates the Progress of FILKOM Collaboration with Six Public and Private Universities from Japan

The Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held a meeting with UB Rector, Prof. Widodo, on Friday (16/12/2022). Activities carried out related to the Progress of Collaboration between FILKOM UB and Six Public and Private Universities from Japan (https://filkom.ub.ac.id/2019/02/28/filkom-ub-jalin-kerjasama-dengan-enam-perguruan- high-in-japan/). The six Public and Private Universities are Chukyo University Nagoya, Waseda University, Osaka University, Hiroshima University, Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) and Kitakyushu University. The meeting was held in the 7th Floor Meeting Room of UB Rectorate Building.

The process of evaluating the progress of collaboration that has been established from 2017 to 2022. Present at the activity was the Dean of FILKOM Prof. Ir. Wayan FirdausMahmudy, Secretary of the University Dr. Setyono Yudho Tyasmoro, Didik Hartono, S.S., M.Pd, Rio Arifando S.Kom, M.Kom as FILKOM Alumni who is currently studying the First Year Doctoral Program at Kyutech Japan, and Akari Mizuno Student at the Kyushu Institute of Technology Japan who took Internship for 1 month at FILKOM UB.

Since 2017 there has been collaboration related to student and lecturer education programs. Every year FILKOM UB is active and routinely invites teachers/professors from Japan for Research, Teaching and Community Service at FILKOM UB and in Japan. Its activities include sending FILKOM Teaching Staff and Alumni to Study Masters and Doctorates in the six Japanese Public Universities mentioned above. Besides that, the Guest Lecture Program, 3 in 1 Visiting Professor UB, UB Lecturers, UB Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctoral Student Guidance by Japanese Professors and Student Exchange between Universities and Faculties.

The Rector delivered a good speech regarding the collaboration that has been established by FILKOM UB with Japanese Public and Private Universities. There are so many programs that can be continued and improved in this collaboration process.
