The Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB) held a socialization of the Student Employee (SE) program in 2025 to provide an understanding of the SE opportunities offered to students to gain work experience while studying, Friday (24/1/2025). The online socialization via GMeet was opened by Dr. Eng. Ir. Herman Tolle, S.T., M.T., as the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs. Dr. Herman mentioned the purpose of this socialization
“SE activities in 2025 will be carried out for 180 days, it is hoped that FILKOM UB students who are selected for SE can take advantage of the opportunity by working wholeheartedly in this program. This SE program can also be used in facing the world of work and to be professional to face challenges in the future,” explained Dr. Herman.
Faizatul Amalia, S.Pd., M.Pd., as the chief executive, said that the SE program will be implemented from February 10, 2025 to August 10, 2025. SE provides opportunities for students to work part-time in various work units at FILKOM UB. The large number of FILKOM students, requiring a Field Work Practice (PKL) location so that students gain work experience is also the background for this SE activity to be routinely implemented. Moreover, FILKOM UB work units require Human Resources (HR) to support the smooth running of activities and work programs in each unit.
Recruitment for the SE position has been opened for five days (20/01-24/01/2025), with various positions available, Digital Content Creator, Data Management, Website Developer, Social Media Manager, Data Analyst, Videographer & Video Editor, Content Writer, Host/Presenter, Mobile Application Developer, Network Administrator, Digital Media Developer, Researcher, Graphic Designer and Designer
“Each position has its own requirements and selection process, including sending CVs and interviews. Selected students will receive an honorarium and valuable experience that can support their skill development,” explained Faizatul. (rr/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
