The Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB) held a Socialization of Tax Policy Implementation at UB on Friday (24/1/2025). The event took place in the Auditorium Hall, building G, 2nd floor of FILKOM UB, and was attended by all lecturers and education staff (tendik). The socialization was opened by the Vice Dean for General Affairs, Finance and Resources, Ir. Agus Wahyu Widodo, S.T., M.Cs. On this occasion, Ir. Agus conveyed the importance of this socialization related to the understanding of the implementation of tax policies at UB for the FILKOM academic community.
“Tax is a personal obligation for citizens that must be fulfilled as a contribution to development and governance. Every individual and business entity has the responsibility to pay taxes in accordance with the provisions applied in Indonesia,” said Ir. Agus.
Present at this activity as a resource person, Head of Sub Directorate (Kasubdit) of Taxation, Directorate of Accounting, Reporting and Taxation (DAPP) UB, Martha Wartini, S.E., accompanied by Khorin Deviana Admini, S.E. In this session, Martha explained the role of the DAPP UB sub directorate in managing employee and institutional taxes.
“The implementation of the effective rate policy does not provide additional new tax burdens for the community (employees), since the calculation of Article 21 Income Tax obligations per year uses the same rate as the provisions that applied previously,” said Martha.
The event was closed with a question and answer session related to the implementation of tax policies discussed in this socialization. (rr/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
