Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB), through the DION Project team led by student delegation, Raihan Adi Prakoso consisting of Roiyan Zain Rofiif, Alifia Lintang Istiqomah, and Rahmada Zulvia Azzahra Hawari, won 2nd place in Division III: Educational Digital Video (DION PROJECT – INTAN). LIDM is an annual competition organized by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek). The Closing and Awarding Ceremony for the 2024 Student Digital Innovation Competition (LIDM) was held at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Wednesday (12/6/2024).
Through their work entitled Intan, the short 5.10 minutes video tells the story of a student named Intan who has just graduated from junior high school. He feels trapped in two choices that affect her future. On the one hand, her parents’ encouragement to marry confused her, whereas, her desire to become a doctor required her to continue her education to high school. And after seeing the problems of her friends who chose early marriage over school, Intan became more confident about continuing her studies to a higher level. DION Project successfully competed with 405 teams from various universities until they reached the final round.
As supervisor, Hanifah Muslimah Az-Zahra, S.Sn., M.Ds. said that victory and success are not instant results. During the mentoring and guidance process for the DION Project team, long preparations have been made before the 2024 LIDM competition opens. The hard work of each member, the tiring video editing process and intense communication made the DION Project team’s work worthy of being champions.
Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship, Drs. Muh. Arif Rahman, M.Kom., who accompanied the contingent, expressed his gratitude to God Almighty and was very proud of this achievement. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the supervisors and students who gave their best for the Educational Digital Learning Innovation, Digital Microteaching, Educational Digital Video and Educational Digital Poster divisions, there is still a chance to achieve the best next time.
