Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya (FILKOM UB) Friday (7/6/2024) held the 2024 Student Village Building (MMD) Kick Off event in the Algorithm Auditorium Building G, 2nd floor. The event began with the presentation of MMD material by Dr. Eng. Ir. Herman Tolle, S.T., M.T., as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs. The theme carried by FILKOM UB in MMD 2024 is IT For Better Life. The four goals to be achieved in the implementation of MMD this time are IT to support the digital transformation of village governments; IT to empower the community’s economy; IT for education in rural areas, and IT to increase tourism potential and environmental ecosystems.
On this occasion, Herman Tolle reminded students that MMD activities will last for 1 month, July to August 2024.
The next agenda is the official opening of MMD by the Dean of FILKOM UB, Prof. Ir. Wayan Firdaus Mahmudy, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D. He also advised students to maintain the good name of the alma mater during the implementation of MMD and later it is hoped that it will produce innovation and cooperation with local residents. Because in 2024, MMD FILKOM UB will be placed in four districts consisting of ten sub-districts.
The final agenda was presented by the chairman of MMD FILKOM UB, Ir. Widhy Hayuhardhika Nugraha Putra, S.Kom., M.Kom., is providing material related to work programs, schedules, log books and final reports that are required during the MMD implementation period. MMD participants are required to attend offline briefings which are held four times before departure in July.
Also present at the 2024 MMD FILKOM Kick Off event, Deputy Dean for Administration and Finance, Ir. Agus Wahyu Widodo, S.T., M.Cs., Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship, Drs. Muh.
