Faculty of Computer Science Universitas Brawijaya (Filkom UB) signed a collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Malang (FT UM), Tuesday (29/9/2020).
The event was held online and attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. drh. Aulanni’am, DES, the leaders and representatives of lecturers of FILKOM UB and FT UB, as well as student representatives who passed the selection for the independent campus student exchange program of FILKOM UB – FT UM. The event was also attended by the representatives of STKIP PGRI West Sumatra who previously had an agreement on an independent learning program with FT UB.
The event was opened with a speech delivered by Prof. Aulanni’am was followed by remarks from the Dean of FILKOM UB, the Dean of FT UM and the Head of STKIP PGRI West Sumatra Study Program.
In his remarks Prof. Aulanni’am expressed that she really appreciated this activity.
Hopefully our efforts by signing the MoU between FILKOM and FT UM can run well. We all know that Independent Learning, Independent Campus or MBKM is a learning model that is more creative, innovative and adaptive to the needs of students to enter the world of work. So, this is a model for independent learning between study programs outside of tertiary institutions, “she said.
The implementation of this PKS will be carried out immediately, no later than next week. Where currently there are 18 FILKOM UB students who will take lectures at FT UM. Some of the courses that can be taken by FILKOM UB students at FT UM are Occupational Health and Safety, Vocational Education Management, and Creative Learning Technology.
Meanwhile, from FT UM, there are 29 students who will take lectures at FILKOM UB in the Odd Semester of 2020/2021Academic year. There are two courses they can take, which are User Experience (UX) and Innovation and Co-Creation.
