FH UB Celebrates the 67th Anniversary with Thanksgiving and Mardoyo Award 2024

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) celebrated its 67th Anniversary by holding a thanksgiving on Monday (8/7/2024). This event took place from 10:00 to 14:00 WIB at the Munir Ballroom, B Building FH UB. This thanksgiving was held as a form of gratitude and symbolic celebration for the establishment of FH UB on July 1, 1957.

Previously, the series of events for the 67th Anniversary had begun with various competitions such as a Cooking Competition, a Cleaning Competition, and a Spice Guessing Competition. This competition was attended by all lecturers and education staff of FH UB the previous week in the yard of FH UB.

This thanksgiving event was attended by various important figures in FH UB, including the Dean of FH UB, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.Hum., Chair of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rachmad Budiono S.H., M.H., Vice Dean I, Milda Istiqomah, S.H., MTCP, Ph.D., Vice Dean II, Dr. Nurini Aprilianda S.H., M.Hum., Vice Dean III, Dr. Muktiono, S.H., M.Phil., as well as alumni lecturers, lecturers, education staff, and representatives of student organizations.

The event began with an opening by the Master of Ceremony, Afi Adani and Zakiyyatu Fadzilla, followed by a reading of tilawah by Nilna Laila Mufida. In the middle of the event, there was a traditional dance performance ” Sorote Lintang Dance” by Sanggar Baswara which depicted the charm of East Javanese culture that is not easily lost over time.

The series of core events began with remarks by the Chairperson of the 67th FH UB Anniversary, Dr. Lucky Endrawati, S.H., M.H. Next, the Dean of FH UB, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.Hum., delivered a presentation of the Dean’s Report which was then submitted to the Chairperson of the Academic Senate of UB Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rachmad Budiono S.H., M.H.

The event became even more interesting with the 2024 Mardoyo Award which gave appreciation to outstanding lecturers in the fields of publication of the most reputable journal articles, Scopus journals, the most books, the most Google Scholar citations, and the best education staff. The tradition of cutting the tumpeng was also carried out by the ranks of deans, where the first tumpeng was handed over to Sri Wahyuningsih, S.H., Mpd.
