A total of four lecturers from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) were sent to the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (FSUU USIM), (28-31/10/2024). They are Dr. Patricia Audrey, S.H., M.Kn., Alfons Zakaria, S.H., LLM., Moch. Zairul Alam, S.H., M.H., and Ikaningtyas, S.H., LLM. The activity is an implementation of the Lecturer Works (Dokar) Program in terms of joint curriculum.
The team said that the Dokar Activity with the Joint Curriculum scheme will be specifically for students of the Undergraduate Law Study Program who are members of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) class.
“This scheme is an effort to fulfill the international mobility obligations that IUP students must take in the fifth semester,” explained Patricia.
The FH UB IUP Program itself was only held in the 2023/2024 academic year, meaning that IUP students are now in the third semester. Meanwhile, the Joint Curriculum will be held in the fifth semester, namely in the 2025/2026 academic year.
The results of the discussion between the Dokar team and the leadership of FSUU USIM regarding the Joint Curriculum include what courses are agreed upon in the Joint Curriculum, and joint curriculum guidelines in English for undergraduate level (S1).
FHUB and FSUU USIM have established cooperation through an MoU signed in 2023. The MoU covers the exchange of teaching staff and students, joint research, academic activities such as seminars and conferences, exchange of teaching materials and publications, and other areas that benefit both parties.
