The Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) has officially launched a law-themed merchandise store, Law Merchandise, as an innovative step in introducing law to the public and supporting the financial independence of the faculty. The inauguration, which was held on Monday (3/2/2025) at the Multipurpose Building of the Faculty of Law (FH UB Parking Area), was attended by the leadership along with the faculty and students.
In his remarks, the Dean of FH UB, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.Hum., emphasized that Law Merchandise is part of an internationalization effort as well as an educational tool for the wider community.
“We hope that this product can be a medium to introduce law in a lighter and more interesting way, not only at the national but also international level,” he said.

In addition, this initiative also aimed at improving the welfare of the faculty. Profits from merchandise sales will be used to support various operational needs, so that FH does not only depend on the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) of students.
“This is a creative step to create financial independence for the faculty, which of course will benefit the entire academic community,” added Dr. Aan.
To ensure the sustainability and development of Law Merchandise, FH has prepared a strong marketing strategy. The products will be promoted through social media and various campus events, including visits by high school students from various regions and legal training organized by FH UB. With this approach, it is hoped that Law Merchandise products can be better known and interested by the wider community.
Furthermore, Dr. Aan hopes that the presence of Law Merchandise will not only improve the image and pride of students towards the faculty, but also inspire them to become entrepreneurs after graduating.
“We want students to see opportunities in entrepreneurship, create jobs, and contribute to the economy. Hopefully this initiative can be an inspiration for other faculties,” he concluded.
The launch of Law Merchandise is proof that FH UB continues to innovate, combining legal education with creativity and entrepreneurship. This step also strengthens the role of FH UB in providing wider benefits to the community and students. (rma/FH PR/ UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
