The Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) gave awards to 194 students who achieved various outstanding achievements during 2024. The event entitled “Appreciation of Outstanding Students” was held at the Munir Ballroom of FH UB on Wednesday, (6/3/2025).
Present at the event were the Dean of FH UB, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, S.H., M.Hum., Head of the Academic Sub-Division, Supardi, S.Kom., and Vice Dean 3 for Student Affairs, Dr. Muktiono, S.H., M.Phil. The event was opened with a safety induction video, followed by a report on student achievements delivered by Dr. Muktiono.
“Let me report, during 2024, as many as 194 FH students have won various awards at the national and international levels,” said Dr. Muktiono in his remarks.
He detailed the achievements of FH students, including 14 awards from LP2PKM, which brought this faculty to win the title of Second General Champion with a collection of four gold, three silver, and three bronze medals. At the international level, FH students managed to record 50 first place winners, 20 second place winners, and 12 third place winners. Meanwhile, at the national level, they contributed 24 first place winners, 25 second place winners, and 20 third place winners.
“This achievement reflects the success of the internationalization program which is a priority of FH. Hopefully in the future, we can maintain and even improve this achievement, of course with cooperation and support from all parties,” he continued.
The Dean of FH, Dr. Aan Eko Widiarto, in his remarks gave appreciation and motivation to the students.
“Lucky are those who in 2025 can record better achievements than in 2024. Your achievements have been extraordinary, and we are sure that next year will be even more brilliant if this spirit is maintained,” he said.
However, he also highlighted the challenges faced by the faculty in supporting student activities.
“We are aware that FH still has limited facilities and infrastructure. But I hope this does not dampen the enthusiasm of students to continue moving forward,” he added.
The kaleidoscope screening session was one of the special moments in this event. The kaleidoscope displays documentation of the journey and achievements of FH students throughout 2024, from local to international competitions.
The peak event was filled with the presentation of awards to achieved students as a form of appreciation for their hard work in making the name of the faculty proud.
This event is a reminder that limitations are not an obstacle to achieving achievements. “This achievement does not only belong to the students, but also to all of us, the extended family of FH UB. With synergy between students, faculty, and related parties, I am sure our achievements in the future will be much greater,” said Vice Dean 3, Dr. Muktiono.
FH hopes that this moment will not only be an appreciation event, but also a motivation for all students to continue to innovate, compete, and make real contributions, both at the national and international levels. The year 2025 is expected to bring more brilliant achievements for FH UB. (Dilla/Rma/FH UB/ UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
