FGD to MSMEs in Balongdowo Village : UB Lecturer Sees the Positive Impact After the Socialization of Digital Marketing Strategy and Financial Governance

In the context of research funded by the MMD Strategic Community Service Grant, students who are members of the MMD program and UB lecturers conducted FGD (Focus Group Discussion) to 4 MSMEs in Balongdowo village to see progress after the socialization was held on (14/7/2023). The results of the FGD showed that MSME Actors felt great benefits from the development of the business they were running.

The MMD Strategic Community Service Grant activity is entitled “Digital Marketing Strategy and Financial Governance as an Effort to Empower MSMEs in Balongdowo Village” which is chaired by Mrs. Amelia Ika Pratiwi SE., Ak., MSA. with Mrs. Citra Dewi Megawati, S.Sn., M.T. as DPL for Balongdowo village, collaborating with MMD 7Group 26 turned out to produce results for MSME actors.

It can be seen from the FGD activities carried out, MSME actors have a positive response to the socialization that was held. “Since the socialization, I started to dare to try marketing through Shopee, Lazada, Tiktok, Facebook and Instagram so that sales turnover also increased,” said Khoirunisa as the owner of UMKM Kupang Jaya.

In addition, the existence of socialization helps MSME players in managing business finances to become more well-organized. “After attending the workshop, I became even more sensitive to making financial records, so I know the pros and cons.” Elisa said as the owner of UMKM Say Hi Donut

FGD activities were carried out by dividing into 2 teams. Team 1 was led by Hapsari Dian Sylvatri, S.S., M.I.Kom. and Fitriana Rakhma Dhanias, SE., MSA., Ak. visited UMKM Say Hi Donut and Kupang Mbak Isa Crackers. While team 2 guided by Amelia Ika Pratiwi SE., Ak., MSA. and Citra Dewi Megawati, S.Sn., M.T. visited UMKM Kupang Jaya and Rafi Jaya.

The FGD, which was conducted in an organized manner and was well-received by MSMEs, is expected to be able to help MSMEs to overcome the obstacles they face after the socialization is held so that later there will be more synergy in developing MSMEs in a sustainable manner in the 4.0 era.
