The Faculty of Economics and Business, Brawijaya Unversity (FEB UB) carried out community service activities in the form of provision and a bazaar for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the student environment some time ago.
This service aims to provide information to MSME actors regarding business management and development so that they can improve marketing and product competitiveness internationally.
Accounting Department Lecturer, Dr. Wuryan Andayani S.E., Ak., M.Si. said MSMEs have an important role in the economy in Indonesia, but often face challenges in terms of marketing and market access. So, MSME players must have knowledge about financial management, packaging, branding, and literacy regarding digital marketing.
On this occasion, Wuryan also provided material to MSME participants regarding preparing financial reports and digital marketing.
“The material provided is related to the importance of making financial reports, the importance of marketing digitalization, in the increasingly developing 4.0 era of MSMEs, MSMEs must continue to learn about digitalization because strengthening digitalization is a very important key to success for MSMEs so they can compete effectively,” said Wuryan.
Wuryan also hopes that Malang Regency MSME actors can realize the important role of MSMEs in Indonesia’s economic development, as well as knowing the management and development related to marketing and the value of these MSME products in order to improve the quality of MSME products.
The activity, which was held in collaboration with Malang Regency Indonesian Muslim Women Entrepreneurs Association (IPEMI), also included training regarding managing MSMEs based on digital marketing technology in product marketing. (*/OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
