The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FPIK UB) held the FBizz Festival 2025. This activity was held on Wednesday, (7/5/2025) as an exhibition of fisheries products and a poster exhibition of the work of students of the Fisheries Agribusiness Study Program. This activity is a forum for students to display, market, and develop innovations in fisheries-based products, as well as a place for real entrepreneurship learning.
The lecturer in charge of the Fisheries Agribusiness course, Dr. Candra Adi Intyas, S.Pi., M.P., appreciated the students’ initiative in organizing this festival.
“The purpose of the FBIZZ Festival is to introduce fishery products made by students of the Fisheries Agribusiness Department. We facilitate this activity so that it becomes one big activity. Hopefully, this activity can continue every year,” she said.

The 2025 FBizz Festival is also part of the student practicum program, where participants are encouraged to create innovative products from fishery raw materials. This festival is not only an expo event, but also provides students with direct experience in marketing, branding, and interacting with consumers.
The Head of the Fisheries and Marine Socio-Economic Student Association, Radditya Thauriq Rahmansyah, said that the implementation of the 2025 FBizz Festival is an important moment in honing students’ entrepreneurial skills.
“I’m happy, because FBizz has wanted to run for two semesters, but it was delayed and only now it can run. In this initial step, it has been quite satisfying, although there are still many things that need to be evaluated,” he said.
He added that the Fbizz Festival is a medium for students to implement the theories they have learned in real practice. “Students can learn to sell, make products, and even brand a product,” he explained.

He hopes that this activity can continue in the following years, grow bigger, and reach university and national scales.
FBizz Festival 2025 is in line with the 2023 Student Ranking Management Information System (SIMKATMAWA) program which emphasizes strengthening student entrepreneurship. Through this festival, UB shows its commitment to support the development of young entrepreneurial potential in the fields of fisheries and agribusiness. [RST/MIT/UB PR/ Trans. Iir]
