As an educational institution, Faculty of Animal Husbandry Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) is ready to face the challenges of technological development. This step was taken by implementing government policy regarding the Independent Learning, Independent Campus (MBKM- Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) learning method.
This was realized by the cooperation in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education program with the Faculty of Agriculture, Surakarta State University (FP UNS). The text of understanding was signed by the Dean of both parties online, but witnessed each other in a video teleconference, Monday (16/11/2020).
The form of cooperation that will last for five years is student exchange. This means that it provides opportunities for Fapet UB students to take education, research, and community service at FP UNS.
In the contrast, FP UNS students can do Tri Dharma activities at Fapet UB. Which both Faculties will provide experienced staff (supervisors) based on qualifications according to needs.
MBKM was designed by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) of the Republic of Indonesia in early 2020 to provide flexibility for students to be able to develop their potential widely.
These efforts are made to prepare the younger generation to face the challenges of technological developments that have a changing impact on the education, economy, social and work sectors.
The learning method emphasizes student exchanges, teaching assistance in educational units, research, humanitarian projects, entrepreneurial activities, independent studies or projects, building villages or thematic real work lectures, and internships / work practices. (dta / Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
