Generally, the human body consists of the body (physical) and spirit (soul) which need food to compose growth cells and fill the spiritual soul. Food for the soul is the science of religion and general knowledge to shape humans to behave properly so that they have a high degree. If the body is guided by the soul who is not balanced with spiritual knowledge, it will fall into worldly lust.
The thought was conveyed by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB), Prof. Suyadi while opening the online New Student Development Program (Probin Maba) and Religion-Based Character Development (PKBR), Saturday (3/10/2020).
Probin Maba and PKBR are a series of activities to introduce Campus Life for new students. The goal is to foster students in participating in academic activities, to socialize the ethics of campus life, and to build self-character and reality-based cooperation.
According to Suyadi, these activities are needed to produce graduates who have a noble personality, intellectuality, character, good personality, and are experts in the field of animal husbandry. So that the implementation of the two activities is carried out every Saturday for one semester starting from the odd semester of TA. 2020/2021.
“Therefore, the implementation of Probin and PKBR must be followed by all new students of Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB. In order to get guidance in shaping attitudes and personalities as educated humans. ” said Suyadi
Beside that, to build a strong mental and character, dr. Alamsyah Nasution, MARS (Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine UB) was invited as a speaker. He said that young people are energetic, passionate, optimistic, and emotionally unstable.
This condition makes youths easily influenced by good and bad things. Therefore, from that early coaching activities and spiritual motivation are needed. (dta / Humas Ub/ Trans. Iir)
