UB Vocational Faculty and Asie e University Malaysia Establish Double Degree Cooperation

The Vocational Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya (FVUB) has established cooperation with Asia e University (AeU) Malaysia to launch a Double Degree program. Based on the results of the meeting at the AeU campus, Subang Jaya, Malaysia (Saturday, 25/05/2024), this program is ready to be implemented starting from the acceptance of new students for the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials from both institutions and resulted in an important agreement regarding the mapping of the Double Degree program curriculum. They are the Dean of the School of Science and Technology AeU Prof. Dr. Titik Khawa, Dean of the Vocational Faculty UB, M. Kholid Mawardi, Ph.D, Coordinator of B.ICT AeU Rosnah Amal, Coordinator of B.DCM AeU Mazri Mohamad, Secretary of the Hospitality Department of UB Vocational Faculty, Sovia Rosalin, and Andira from the International Relations Office of UB Vocational Faculty.

Dean of the Vocational Faculty, Mukhammad Kholid Mawardi, S.Sos., M.A.B., Ph.D said that this Double Degree Program is designed to combine the advantages of practical skills obtained at the Vocational Faculty UB with in-depth knowledge taught at AeU.

In addition, this program also focuses on improving the professional attitudes of students, ensuring that the graduates produced are not only academically competent, but also have superior work ethics and attitudes.

“Alumni of D3 Ub Vocational students also have the opportunity to continue their education to the Undergraduate level at AeU with a study period of around 2 years through a credit transfer mechanism,” said the Dean.

One of the lecturers, Rachmad Andri Atmoko, S.ST, M.T hopes that this collaboration will open wider opportunities for UB students to get international standard education and increase their competitiveness in the global workforce.
