Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) wins seven categories on the commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas) UB which is held online on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Pitojo Tri juwono, M.T., IPU., ASEAN.Eng., as the Dean representing FTUB, received the awards related to the Implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Program.
The seven awards received by the Faculty of Engineering that morning were as follows:
- 3rd place in the Criteria for the Number of Students in the Student Exchange Program
- 2nd Place in International Ranking Criteria
- 3rd place in the Criteria for the Number of Students in the Bangkit program
- 3rd Place in Competitive Fund Criteria
- 1st Place in Criteria for Collaborative Classroom Implementation
- 2nd place in the MBKM Curriculum Cooperation Criteria
- 2nd Place in the Criteria for Increasing the Number of Professors
“Alhamdulillah, thanks to the great works of FTUB academic community, we managed to get seven awards. Thank you everyone, I hope it will be will be even better in the future,” said Prof. Pitojo.
In commemoration of National Education Day this time, the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Makarim through his speech read by the Rector, Prof. Nuhfil Hanani, AR., M.S. explained, there are four efforts that are being carried out to improve the education system in Indonesia.
First, improvements to infrastructure and technology. Second, improving policies, procedures, and funding, as well as giving more autonomy to educational units.
Third, improving leadership, society, and culture. And fourth, improving curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.
Nadiem said that all these efforts were summarized in the Merdeka Belajar program which has now reached its tenth episode.
