EasyTeam UB Wins 1st Place in Business Plan Competition

The EasyTeam, a student team from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (DTI FT-UB) become the first winner in the Sebelas Maret Business Plan Competition (SEMBULATION) 2022.

SEMBULATION is hosted by the Management Student Association, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sebelas Maret, online on December 4, 2022. In the final round competed 14 business ideas from various university students team in Indonesia.

The EasyTeam became the winners for their business idea called EasyPlants, a business company engaged in providing automation tools and service features in agriculture. The students are Fallah Amalia, Maulana Ahmad Fahreza, and Indana Alya.

The business idea or proposal offered by Easyteam are very complete, they made the SWOT analysis, product and service descriptions, aspects of production mechanisms, and business continuity analysis.

“A significant increase in population has occurred in Indonesia, while agricultural land is predicted to continue to shrink due to the conversion of land for buildings to meet the community’s housing needs, which is increasing every year,” Fallah Amalia, EasyTeam leader explained.

The Assistant for the Optimization, Information Systems, and Decision Support Laboratory (LOSIK) continued, EasyPlants is an effective solution offered by EasyTeam to be able to maximize agricultural and plantation results with this minimal land.

The solutions offered by Easyplants are agriculture environmentally friendly automation tools, agricultural product buying and selling features, and smart detection of diseases in plants using AI.

In addition, EasyPlants also provides agricultural monitoring and consulting services in collaboration with experts. All of these features are packaged inside an easy-to-use application, such as a mobile app and website, to maximize plantation and agricultural yields.

“We are very happy because not only get the chance to win, we also get new experience and knowledge,” she concluded.
