The Statistics Study Program cooperates with the Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) of Malang Regency in the 2022 Lecturer Works Program (DOKAR), one of the routine programs organized by Universitas Brawijaya (UB) which aims to facilitate the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education for lecturers.
Carrying out the Role of Statistics in the Identification of Strategic Indicators towards One Valid and Reliable Data, the Undergraduate of Statistics Study Program conducted the first assistance for 40 fields of Planning, Evaluation and Reporting (Renvapor) in Malang Regency. This mentoring activity was accommodated by the Information and Information Communications Office of Malang Regency through a Malang Regency Government Performance Indicator Data Collection Coordination Meeting.
The meeting was opened by the Head of Statistics and Information, Iwan Heri Kristanto, S.Sos., M.AP. As representatives of Diskominfo Malang District and Rahma Fitriani, S.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D. as the Chair of the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya.
“The collection of performance indicator data for Malang Regency Government is based on Minister of Home Affairs’ Regulation No. 86 of 2017 which includes 4 aspects, namely aspects of public services, aspects of regional competitiveness, aspects of community welfare, and aspects of geography and demography,” said Rahma.
During the coordination, the team consisting of Dr. Suci Astutik, Rahma Fitriani, Ph.D., Dr. Eni Sumarminingsih, and Darmanto, M.Sc. provide explanations and clarifications on the excel tabulations that have been made by the DOKAR team to each Renvapor. This team also involved a student component represented by Diego, Gusti Ayu and Laila.
“Since the issuance of Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2019 concerning One Indonesian Data and Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 70 of 2019, Diskominfo has the authority as Trustee of Sectoral Statistical Data. A Data Guardian is defined as a single unit tasked with collecting, maintaining, updating, exchanging and disseminating data, Rahma added.
“Sectoral statistical data provided by Diskominfo as Data Trustees can then be utilized by Malang Regency Government to obtain information about strategic indicators in Malang Regency area,” he concluded. (mipa/ Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
