Dr. Ali Haedar Received International Awards in the Field of Emergency Medicine

Lecturer of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya and Emergency Specialist Doctor, Prehospital Emergency Care Consultant at Dr. Saiful Anwar Regional Hospital, East Java Province, was awarded the 7th Asian EMS Award for Individual Excellence, at an international conference ‘The 7th EMS ASIA Thailand 2025’.

This award was given in recognition of his dedication and extraordinary contribution in the field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Since 2010, Dr. Ali Haedar has been actively involved in the world of emergency medicine, giving lectures at various international conferences and training abroad. His contribution to improving the Prehospital Emergency Care and Emergency Medical Services systems in Indonesia is very significant.

He has been involved in various initiatives, including being a member of the Expert Team for the Indonesian Ministry of Health’s Health Reserve Team and the Public Safety Center 119 Capacity Building Facilitator Team of the Indonesian Ministry of Health.

In addition, Dr. Haedar also played an important role in the preparation of eight national guidelines, including guidelines for integrated emergency response and health crisis management.

At the international level, Dr. Haedar is not only active in organizations, but also serves as Vice Chair of the Asian Association for Emergency Medical Services (AAEMS) for the Southeast Asia chapter. He is also involved in the World Health Organization (WHO) in Emergency Medical Teams (EMT Technical Working Group on Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC), demonstrating his commitment in improving the standards of emergency health services worldwide.

With a strong educational background, Dr. Haedar has completed clinical fellowships in Prehospital Emergency Care and Emergency Medical Services in Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan. Currently, Dr. Haedar is undergoing a Research Fellowship at the Research Institute of Disaster Management and Emergency Medical System at Kokushikan University, Tokyo, while pursuing a Ph.D. in Emergency Medicine at the same university.

The awards received by Dr. Ali Haedar are real evidence of his dedication and commitment to improve the quality of emergency health services, both in Indonesia and internationally.
