The Tourism Study Program of the Faculty of Administrative Science at Universitas Brawijaya and the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism at Prince of Songkla University (PSU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and an Implementation Agreement (IA) on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at PSU’s Phuket Campus, Thailand.
The Dokar Tourism Study Program delegation, consisting of Prof. Drs. Andy Fefta Wijaya, MDA., Ph.D. (Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Science), Dr. Muhammad Faisal Riza, M.Si. (Vice Dean II), Dr. Nur Imamah, M.AB, Ph.D. (Head of the Department of Business Administration), Dr. Drs. Edy Yulianto, MP (Head of the Tourism Study Program), Drs. Wiyata, M.AB, Ph.D. (Secretary of the Tourism Study Program), and Sukmawati, S.S, M.Sc., visited PSU’s Phuket Campus from July 30 to August 2, 2024, to establish academic and research collaborations through the UB 2024 Dokar Grant.
The meeting began with welcoming remarks from Assoc. Prof. Pornpisanu Promsivapallop, Ph.D. (Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism) and Prof. Drs. Andy Fefta Wijaya, MDA., Ph.D. (Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Science). Subsequently, Drs. Wiyata, M.AB, Ph.D., as the Head of the Dokar Tourism Study Program, presented and discussed two research collaboration proposals on the topics of AI-Powered Travel Apps and Aesthetic Medical Tourism. From these discussions, agreements were successfully reached and signed, including the MoA on academic collaboration (such as Visiting Professors, Exchange Students, Guest Lectures, etc.) and the IA on research collaboration through grant schemes: Research Fellowship and Adjunct Professor.
