Dr. dr. Aisyatul Mukminah, Sp.O.G (K)., Subsp. Obginsos presented the results of her dissertation entitled “Preeclampsia Risk Factor Score and Variation of Maternal SIRT1 Serum Levels as Prediction of Preeclampsia”. This activity was held on Tuesday (07/16/2024), on the 6th Floor of A Building, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (FKUB). Through her dissertation, Aisyatul Mukminah was declared to have graduated and received a doctorate after a study period of 5 years and 4 months in the FKUB Doctoral Program.
Aisyatul developed an early detection/screening method for Preeclampsia (PE) in pregnancy to reduce the number of deaths or disabilities due to PE. Screening was conducted with a survey involving 326 pregnant women at 4-16 weeks of pregnancy throughout Tulungagung Regency, East Java to identify risk factors.
Interviews on PE risk factors with QR values ≥2 owned by pregnant women and long-term follow-up from 20 weeks of pregnancy to six weeks postpartum were conducted to explain the causal relationship of risk factors with PE incidence at the end of observation.
Unadjusted logistic regression analysis between preeclampsia risk factors and preeclampsia showed that preeclampsia risk factors that influenced the incidence of preeclampsia in this study included age >30 years, BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2, history of PE in previous pregnancies, hypertension, family history of PE, and family history of hypertension. Pregnant women who have at least two or more of these risk factors have a high chance of experiencing PE in the current pregnancy.
To find out the best risk factor model to predict preeclampsia, data analysis was continued with the Area Under Curve test
Aisyatul has also published a scientific journal based on her dissertation research entitled “New Detection Methods of Early-Onset Preeclampsia in Pregnant Women with Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors” in Bali Medical Journal Volume 13 Number 3 in 2024, with E-ISSN: 2302-2914.
