Campus in Indonesia is ideally envisioned to be international level campus. But the realization of this future goal depends on lecturer quality. This regard is delivered by Director General of Resources of Science Technology and Higher Education Ali Ghufron Mukti in his visit to University of Brawijaya on Saturday (27/Feb/2016) at Rectorate building University of Brawijaya.
In his visit, Ali Ghufron mentioned that 51 thousand lecturers are still educated to degree. “Ideally should be downgraded from lecturers into administrative staff. Some solutions to be done are such as scholarship lecturers, calculating KKNI credit and campus gives funding to pursue education,” he said.
Overcoming human resources problem in campus, according to Ali, could be done with human resources sharing. “Human resources sharing could be done by using the existing facilities to maximize lecturer’s potency,” he said. The visit of Faculty of Medicine Gadjah Mada University alumni is in order to socialize lecturer’s career-path that attended by Deans, Vice Deans and also institution Heads in UB surroundings.
