The Directorate of Innovation and Business Incubator Universitas Brawijaya (DIIB UB) held a Brawijaya Start Up Business Matching and Mini Expo 2022 to introduce its fostered innovation products to the public, Thursday (16/6/2022) at UB Cafe.
The chief executive of the activity, Chandra Irwanto, said that the activity was carried out for one day by exhibiting a number of student and lecturer innovation stands, namely five tenants of the collaboration program with the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, three tenants from the 2021 lecturer innovation program, and four tenants from Brawijaya Youth Entrepreneur Program.
“Each tenant gets its own funding. The three tenants of the lecturer innovation program have a funding of IDR 60 million, five cooperation stands with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology is up to IDR 250 million, as well as for Youth Entrepreneur Pre-Start Up tenants, the funding is IDR 8 million and for start-ups up to IDR 15 million,” he said.
The Head of Business Incubator Center, Dr. Wahdiyat Moko, SE., MM, CFP added that DIIB has many tenants with funding sources. In the future, it is hoped that the products on display can be downstreamed and contribute to UB’s future income.
“It is hoped that the tenants that we foster can be downstreamed so that later we can have shares there. And it can be UB’s income in the future,” he said.
A number of products exhibited in Brawijaya Start Up Business Matching and Mini Expo activities are Agromonster, Nutrinesia, Suspeed, Progresskit, and My Eco. For tenants in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Technology, Beauty Secret Kombucha, Samsara, and Shitaki.
