Universitas Brawijaya (UB) will soon turn to 59 on January 5, 2022. The age that is no longer young is certainly accompanied by higher expectations.
The Dean of FISIP UB, Dr Sholih Muadi S.H., M.Si hopes that with the age of 59 years, UB will have international reputation.
“I, as the Dean, will certainly carry out anything that has initiated at the University,” he explained to FISIP Public Relations, Monday (3/1/2021).
As a part of UB, Sholih stated that FISIP will continue to make efforts to realize UB’s goals by increasing accreditation from national to international.
“Not only with the Main Performance Indicators from the Ministry that can be a measurement for the performance of each faculty,” said the alumnus of FH UB.
With the Main Performance Indicators, Sholih believes that UB will continue to advance as a prestigious university and become a wide concern in the future.
“And then, let’s improve our international reputation, the reputation of publishing journals and the benefits for the community,” he continued.
59th Anniversary and PTNBH
At the age of 59, UB has also changed its status to become a Legal Entity State University (PTNBH). According to Sholih, this status will be a moment of improvement.
“Of course, firstly, welfare with PTNBH should not subside because improvisation with PTNBH status will be better than when we were a BLU,” said this UB Political Science lecturer.
Sholih is sure that even though it is newly PTNBH, UB will be able to compete with dozens of universities that previously had the same status.
“We have entered the premier league and will compete with about 14 other universities in Indonesia. I believe that UB can enter the top 10 and even enter the top 5 if we are able to work hard and do good things,” he said. Humas FISIP/ Humas UB/ Trans. Iir)
