The 51st FK-UB Anniversary: Legacy of Innovation for a Bright Future

Dies

The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (FK UB) Malang celebrated its 51st Anniversary with the theme “A Heritage of Innovation, A Future of Progress”. This theme reflects FK UB’s commitment to continue innovating, making real contributions to the university and society, and encouraging progress in various fields.

The Dean of FK UB, Prof. Dr. dr. Wisnu Barlianto, M.Si.Med., Sp.A(K), revealed that various achievements have been achieved by study programs (Prodi) within the faculty. Not only producing various innovations, the Study Programs at FK UB also often make achievements in various competitions, exceeding the performance indicators that have been set. “This proves that our performance continues to improve and exceeds expectations,” said Prof. Wisnu.

FK UB itself implements a work system based on performance indicators, including the number of successful researches conducted and increasing the number of lecturers who continue their education to the doctoral level. “In this Dies Natalis, this achievement is one of the aspects that we compete at the Study Program and Department levels. Thus, all parties are motivated to provide the best results,” he added.

Inauguration

In addition to highlighting innovation and achievements, the 51st Anniversary is also an important moment for FK UB to inaugurate several new facilities. The Graha Medika Building, which now looks more modern and comfortable, was re-inaugurated as a multifunctional space for holding seminars and other activities.

In addition, the Integrated Service Unit (ULT) was also introduced as an integrated service center for lecturers, students, and the general public. “Previously, services were carried out on the 9th floor. Now, everything can be done on the 1st floor via ULT, making it easier and more efficient,” said Prof. Wisnu.

Chair of the 51st Anniversary Committee, dr. Buyung Hartiyo Laksono, Sp.An-KNA, added that the theme of this activity also emphasized “Sharing Knowledge, Community Service, and Continuous Innovation”. FK UB hopes to continue to contribute through knowledge and innovative products that are better known to the public.

Car Free day

One of the efforts to introduce this theme is through a community service program that has been carried out for the past three months, focusing on Islamic boarding schools and public schools. FK UB also enlivened Car Free Day last week with various interesting activities to get closer to the community.

At the age of 51 years, FK UB continues to emphasize its commitment of becoming a pioneer of innovation that has a positive impact on the progress of the university and society. (UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
