News of the achievements of Universitas Brawijaya students has been heard again, now coming from four delegation teams who competed in the national essay competition Soedirman Event of Animal Husbandry (SEARY) 7.0 which was organized by UKM UP3 Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jenderal Soedirman University at the beginning of last May.
The four delegation teams are composed of various faculties, including the first team consisting of team leader, Icha Amelia Putri together with Nikita Khoirunnisa and Annisa Adinda from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences who succeeded in winning 1st place general champion and a gold medal in the field of Technology with innovation in waste processing based on Photocatalyst Leaching. The second team consisted of team leader Rafi Safanda Nugraha together with Maulidya Zahrina Qolby and Ardian Yhosi Setyawan from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry who succeeded in winning a gold medal in the field of Animal Husbandry by presenting the innovation of double purification of methane gas integrated with the Internet of Things.
The third team consisted of team leader Setiyaki Aruma Nandi together with Naurah Safa Fahriyah and Aulia Rizqika Fauziyah from the Faculty of Agricultural Technology who achieved silver medal 1 in the field of Agriculture with innovation regarding remote sensing technology for plant nutritional needs. Furthermore, the fourth team consisted of team leader Widyatha Dian Reswitha together with Fadhilah Nur Salsabila and Rizky Ramadhan from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry PSDKU Kediri who succeeded in bringing home 1 silver medal in the field of Animal Husbandry with their innovation regarding the use of livestock and agricultural waste in maggot cultivation.
This competition has the theme “Innovation and Creativity of Gen Z in Preventing Global Boiling through Increasing Climate Resilience for Indonesia to Recover Faster and Rise Stronger”, carried out in 3 stages including essay selection, voting and poster assessment, then continued with the final presentation at the SEARY 7.0 peak event. 4 delegation teams from UB managed to step to the final presentation round after successfully eliminating 127 teams from various universities in Indonesia.
One of the participant representatives, Rafi Safanda, stated that this competition had a theme with very good substance for environmental problems. Rafi said, “UB friends and I hope that this essay idea will not only stop in the realm of competition, but we also hope that this idea will become a form of academic concern for global boiling problems,” concluded Rafi.
