UB Delegation in NMCC Tjokorda Raka Dherana VIII Cup

Universitas Brawijaya students have again won an achievement. This time, it came from the Faculty of Law delegation in the Tjokorda Raka Dherana VIII Cup competition in the National Moot Court Competition (NMCC). This event was organized by the Faculty of Law, Udayana University, on Monday, October 21, 2024.

In this event, FH UB sent 16 participants consisting of Raihan Muhammad Rahmadi as Head of Delegation, Tri Nur Widiya Ningrum, Quinto Halomoan Simbolon, Rasyadha Justitianisa, Jofriza Priyadeswari, Eunike Tessalonica Cincin Octavia, Evan Widyadhana Rachmanto, Suzan Oliviana Koo, Farrel Ibrahim Hakam Herawan, Huzaimma Prajnagiarthiqa, Beta Maryto Siahaan, Rizka Halwa Amelia, Ataa Barra Othman Effendi, Angelica Avrilia Putri, Nuha Rifda Az Zahra, Jean Amelia Siktimu. This team was accompanied by Raka Mafandi Wicaksono and Fadhil Fathullah as the Official Team.

According to Raka, this competition is the most prestigious moot court competition in Indonesia with a very long implementation time. “Preparations have started in May. The competition process is quite long, starting from the preliminary round filing stage, preliminary round trial simulation, then continued with final round filing and final round trial simulation,” he explained.

In running the preliminary and final rounds, we had to complete two different position cases, where in the preliminary round the committee gave a position case with the theme of narcotics crimes and the final round had the theme of terrorism crimes and terrorism financing crimes. “Until finally, on October 21, 2024, the results of the competition were announced, and UB delegation managed to bring home the Saraswati trophy which is the name of the Rotating Cup from the NMCC Tjokorda Raka Dherana VIII Cup,” said Raka.

The awards won include Best Public Prosecutor by Jofriza Priyadeswari and Angelica Avrilia Putri, Best Expert Witness by Tri Nur Widiya Ningrum, Eunike Tessalonica Cincin Octavia, Huzaimma Prajnagiarthiqa, Beta Maryto Siahaan, Ataa Barra Othman Effendi, Nuha Rifda Az Zahra and Jean Amelia Siktimu.

“From this competition, we finally realized the hopes of all former and Alumni of the Brawijaya Moot Court Community by bringing home the award as the General Champion.
