The Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Library Delegation has successfully achieved a brilliant achievement by winning 2nd Place in the 15th Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI) in 2024. This prestigious annual national event took place from 6 to 8 August 2024 at the Grand Mercure Lampung, with the central theme “Artificial Intelligence in Digital Libraries.”

UB Library was represented by Prayoga Rizky Wikandani, S.AP and Gabriel Wahyu Purnomo, S.AP., M.M with a paper entitled “Analysis of AI Utilization in Supporting Education and Writing Scientific Papers for Librarians Using the UTAUT 2 Model”. This paper successfully led Prayoga to win 2nd Place with a total score of 774, confirming UB’s position as one of the leading educational institutions in digital library innovation.

The conference received a total of 108 paper titles, an increase from 94 papers at the 14th KPDI in Malang. However, only 16 papers were selected for presentation due to limited resources and time. The papers that passed were the result of a strict selection by competent reviewers in the field of digital libraries.

The Chairperson of FPDI, Prof. Dr. Drs. Jonner Hasugian, M.Sc., said that the presentations from the winners were the result of in-depth research by librarians, digital library observers, students, and lecturers who all contributed to the development of digital literacy in Indonesia.

The 15th KPDI presented two leading experts in the field of artificial intelligence, namely Prof. Yudho Giri Sucahyo from the University of Indonesia and Prof. Dr. Eng. Admi Syarief from the University of Lampung (Unila). Both provided in-depth insights into how artificial intelligence (AI) can be integrated into digital libraries to improve services and accessibility for users.
