
The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FMIPA UB) inaugurated the new management of Student Organization Institutions for the 2025 period at the MIPA CENTER Hall, 1st floor of FMIPA UB Building, Friday (02/21/2025). This event was attended by the leadership of FMIPA, supervisory lecturers of the institution, and management of student organizations.
In this activity, the Dean inaugurated the Chairperson of FMIPA Student Executive Board Andika Febriliansyah (Chemistry Department Batch of 2022) along with the management of 12 (twelve) FMIPA Student Organization Institutions. This inauguration is the initial part for the new management in carrying out the work program that has been designed to improve the quality of student organizations on campus.
Dean of FMIPA, Ratno Bagus Edy Wibowo, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D in his speech expressed great hopes for the new management as the vanguard of students who have a strategic role to be able to bring innovation and new enthusiasm in carrying out their duties.
“We hope that the new management can be an effective communication bridge between students and the campus, we will fully support it with the hope that it can enrich academics with new innovations that can improve competence. Hopefully this management will bring new enthusiasm,” said the Dean.
The Dean also gave his appreciation to the management of FMIPA Student Organization Institution for the 2024 period who have dedicated themselves and passed on positive habits so that it can become good deeds.
“The success of a Student Organization Institution is not about the work program, but also the extent to which students contribute positively and usefully so that it become good deeds,” he said.
Vice Dean for Student Affairs Chomsin Sulistyo Widodo, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D emphasized that the management of student organizations are chosen people. He hopes for effective and innovative collaboration from the new management to have an impact that can be felt by the community.
Meanwhile, the elected Chairman of Student Executive Board, Andika Febriliansyah expressed his commitment to carry out the mandate that has been given. “We are ready to innovate and realize the targets according to our program,” he said.
Andika explained that in the previous management, there were still weaknesses in terms of cadre formation and socialization so that the interest in organizing was still lacking.
“One of my future programs is to improve the technical aspects of organizational cadre formation so that students’ interest in organization increases. In addition, there is also soft skills development from the Ministry of PSDM,” he explained.
On the other hand, Danang W. Pamungkas, Chairman of RITMA hopes for optimal support from the FMIPA Deans for each work programs. He also hopes that during his management, RITMA will become a better forum and facilitator than the previous year in terms of organization, research, and achievements in the fields of reasoning and science. Danang has also planned interesting activities in 2025 such as Improve Yourself with RITMA (VOLTA), PKM Center, PATRIOT, Recovery, RITMA DECO (RITMA Design Corner), and RIVEX (RITMA Visit and Explore).
The inaugurated administrators consist of the Chairperson and Members of the Student Representative Council (DPM), President, Vice President, and Student Executive Board (BEM) and Student Organization Institution Administrators. The inauguration ceremony was also filled with a handover session from the previous administrators to the new administrators accompanied by accompanying lecturers from each Institution.
This inauguration is the initial milestone for the selected students to carry out their duties and responsibilities in leading various student organizations within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. With the inauguration of this new management, it is hoped that the FMIPA Student Organization Institution can be more active in developing academic and non-academic activities that can have a positive impact on all students.
