The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at Universitas Brawijaya (FPIK UB) has a significant number of alumni who pursue careers in the aquaculture industry. One such company in the aquaculture sector, specifically in fish feed production and processed food, is PT. Central Proteina Prima, Tbk (CP Prima).
Through the PrimaFlex Management Trainee program, UB alumni have the highest representation among all graduates in the PrimaFlex Management Trainee program. To strengthen this collaboration, UB and CP Prima organized a roadshow program aimed at introducing CP Prima to students and providing insights into the aquaculture industry and business. During this series of events, CP Prima conducted direct selection and recruitment for new graduates and UB alumni.
The CP Prima Campus Roadshow took place at the Widyaloka Building UB, on Monday, May 13, 2024. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Ir. Maftuch, M.Si., the Dean of FPIK. In his opening speech, Prof. Maftuch emphasized that the fisheries industry currently requires innovative approaches to address contemporary challenges. Collaborative events like this equip students with the necessary skills to meet the needs of the fisheries industry. Additionally, the experience gained from this program enhances entrepreneurial skills among students.
A total of 250 student participants attended the event organized by UB’s Office of Partnerships, Alumni, and International Relations. HR Business Partner of CP Prima, Dias Purnomo hopes that this event can facilitate UB alumni in pursuing careers in the aquaculture industry. [DKS]
