Student delegations from the Islamic Economics Study Group (KSEI) Center for Islamic Economics Studies (CIES) Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya (FEB UB) won awards at the XXIII National Scientific Meeting of the Islamic Economics Study Silaturahim Forum (TEMILNAS XXIII FoSSEI). This event took place from Wednesday to Saturday, (21/8-24/8/2024) at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. This achievement not only adds to UB’s academic achievement record, but also strengthens KSEI CIES FEB UB’s dominance as the overall champion in the prestigious competition.
After competing with hundreds of students from various universities in Indonesia, 8 out of 10 KSEI CIES FEB UB delegation teams managed to advance to the semifinals and were entitled to compete in Lampung. Of the 8 teams, 7 teams successfully advanced to the final round after undergoing presentations and intense competition. In the final round, participants had to complete a case study in one night before presenting their results to a panel of judges. The competition included various categories, including Islamic Economic Olympiad, Academic Scientific Paper, Conceptual Scientific Paper, Sharia Business Plan, and Scientific Debate.
Due to intensive preparation for about 3 months, the delegates managed to achieve achievements in various categories. The team consisting of Hafiz Huzaifa, Vita Widyasari, and Muhammad Fazil Zihni won 1st place in the Islamic Economic Olympiad competition. Meanwhile, another team consisting of Rayhan Aidy Abshar, Rizkha Nafanda Wulandari, and Alifiah Khairunnisa won 3rd place in the same category.
In the Academic Scientific Paper category, the team consisting of Fajar Dwi Seftiana A. S., Dzikra Nadiyyah Rasyidah, and Pipit Amanda won 1st place. Not to be left behind, in the Conceptual Scientific Paper category, the team consisting of Fahmi Nasikh Attahmidi, Atina Ma’rifah, and Adinda Rizky Maulidya Putri won 1st place, followed by another team consisting of M. Fikri Ichwanul Hakim, M. Hizbullah Dzaky Abidin, and Tika Yusfi Afkarina who won 2nd place.
In the Sharia Business Plan category, the team consisting of Rizky Ulul Azmi, Shohibatul Haq, and Muhammad Roihan Barier won 2nd place. Meanwhile, in the Scientific Debate category, the team represented by Andi Rausyanfikr Gilang Persada, Ghinaa Nuur Syarifah, and Denisya Ziva Alika won the consolation prize 2.
It didn’t stop there, a debate team consisting of Samsul Arifin, Neyla Marshadina Aufa, and Asya Hujjah El Imani M. This success further strengthens the position of KSEI CIES FEB UB as one of the leading KSEI in the largest Islamic economic competition in Indonesia and proves that they deserve to hold the title of general champion at this year’s TEMILNAS.
