Preventing Sexual Violence and Bullying, UB Held FGD PPKS

To create a sense of security for the civitas from acts of bullying and sexual violence, Universitas Brawijaya launched the Task Force for the Prevention of Bullying and Sexual Violence. This team is in the Center for Counseling, Prevention of Sexual Violence and Bullying. This team was introduced to the Student Counseling Agency in the Workshop and FGD on the Handling and Prevention of Sexual Violence and Bullying, Monday (31/10/2022) at the Ijen Suites Hotel, Malang.

“The task force plays a role in providing case referrals for students, lecturers and education staff. In collaboration with ULTKSP and BKM at the faculty, it is hoped that the participants who attended today have the same view regarding the handling of bullying and sexual violence,” said Ulifa Rahma, S.Psi., M.Psi as the Head of the Task Force.

The workshop and FGD were attended by representatives of the faculties Counseling Guidance and Student Executives as well as the Student Representative Council. “Through today’s agenda, there will be some useful material for participants related to the prevention of sexual violence, how aspects of reproductive health, handling in the realm of law and psychology, and will also disseminate referrals and reporting from ULTKSP to the PPKS Task Force,” he added.

Through this event, Ulifa hopes that there will be coordination in handling cases of bullying and sexual violence. “After this agenda, we already have a group to facilitate linear coordination between ULTKSP and PPKS,” explained this Psychology lecturer.
