The group 18 of FISIP-FIB Berbakti Desa (FBD UB) Ngawonggo came with anti-bullying socialization for students of SDN 1 and SDN 2 Ngawonggo on Tuesday (30/7/2024) and Wednesday (31/7/2024). The socialization focused on introducing types of bullying, impacts, and how to deal with them.
The anti-bullying socialization was packaged in a simple and fun way to adjust to the understanding of elementary school students. The socialization began with the delivery of material on types of bullying, impacts, and how to deal with it.
The activity was carried out by discussing the students’ understanding of the material that had been presented and watching a short film about bullying. FBD Group 18 also invited students to play a role. The role play was focused on better understanding what bullying looks like if it occurs in everyday life.
The students showed their enthusiasm while learning about three types of bullying, verbal, non-verbal, and cyber. One of the participants in the socialization, Rizky, a 3rd grade student at SDN 1 Ngawonggo, even asked a question,
“What is bullying on WhatsApp?” The speaker answered the question by explaining that the action was cyber bullying.
“Through this socialization, it is hoped that students at SDN 1 and SDN 2 Ngawonggo can understand the negative impacts of bullying, both on victims and perpetrators. Students are expected to be able to build a culture of mutual respect and love for fellow friends. This culture is important for students to have in order to create a school environment that cares for others,” said Savira, village coordinator of the FBD UB 18 Group.
As one of the group’s work programs, FBD UB 18 is committed and believes that implementing this early anti-bullying socialization can build good relationships between elementary school students in Ngawonggo Village and provide sustainable social knowledge for children. (*/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
