This award was given for their contribution in various collaboration-based research that was considered significant in strengthening research relations between UB and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN)

Lecturer of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) Danung Nur Adii, S.Pt., M.Sc., M.Pt. won an award from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) as the Top 11 Collaborators in 2021-2024 with a total publication of 27 articles in various leading journals.

Danung Nur Adii, SPt., MSc., MPt. admitted that he had conducted a lot of research with BRIN since three years ago. He successfully won the Top Co-Author UB 2024 award which focuses on the field of animal husbandry in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry Research Center and the BRIN Online Research Center.

“As far as I know, if we collaborate a lot with BRIN, they will give some kind of appreciation,” he explained.

This award is the first since the inauguration of the Head of BRIN, Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko, M.Sc. Danung said that the criteria are not only based on the number of published articles, but also the quality of the articles themselves.

“In the past, there have been many researches, publications, or studies in various places. Actually, the research that has spent a lot of money, is it useful for society?” said Danung. Realizing this, Danung then conducted research using the meta-analysis method. Meta-analysis is a method that is sourced from various articles or data that have been published, then modeled to what extent the contents of the article will be useful for society.

Meanwhile, Prof. Muhammad Halim Natsir said that this assessment was based on the number of international publications that listed authors from BRIN. For example, a doctoral student from Fapet UB has produced four publications from the designed collaboration program. In addition, research on nutrigenomics by one of UB’s lecturers also contributed two publications through collaboration with BRIN.

“These studies were finally recognized so that several publications were included in the top collaborator category. For the top collaborators who received awards, Mr. Danung and I were also included in this list,” continued Prof. Halim.

The achievements of Danung and Prof. Halim contributed to make UB as the Top Collaborator award winner from BRIN. During the 2021-2024 period, UB has produced 246 international publications through collaboration with BRIN. This number makes UB one of the leading institutions in strengthening national research collaboration. (Emma/OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
