Starting from the expensive price of real flower bouquets for comprehensive trials, Sherly Shafa Elinanda, an alumna of the Faculty of Law, Universias Brawijaya, had a creative idea to make a flower bouquet from her thesis revision papers. In this creative idea, Sherly was also assisted by Mochammad Saiful Anwar, a student from the Faculty of Health Sciences, to develop Sherly’s creative idea.
Initially, Sherly did not really know the potential of her skills until the results of her trial and error work went viral when she posted a recycled flower bouquet from her thesis paper on the social media TikTok. The day after her work went viral on social media, Sherly Shafa saw that her work could be a very good business. Therefore, without waiting long, she immediately created an Instagram account for the paper flower bouquet business for thesis with the name @asterbloomy.bouquet.
“I found out that my post on TikTok was popular, then many asked where to order. So it just occurred to me to make it a business. So the next day I immediately created an IG account. Alhamdulillah, it’s been popular until now,” she said.

According to Sherly Shafa Elinanda, the products of her creativity have spread outside the city from Sidoarjo, Surabaya, Jember to Jakarta.
When her work was popular on social media, from there Sherly met Mochammad Saiful Anwar, a student from the Faculty of Health Sciences who ordered 20 flower bouquets directly and at the same time until now has become a partner to help make Sherly’s creative idea a success.
Mochammad Saiful Anwar who has an education, research and technology platform has the intention to collaborate with the business idea of Bouquet flowers from this thesis paper. From this collaboration, it is hoped that they can get an international funding program from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). And he hopes that Universitas Brawijaya can also help them to develop this creativity.
“We hope that Universitas Brawijaya can facilitate through student programs or maybe we involve other students to develop this similar creativity,” he said.
Regarding the future vision of this creative idea of Bouquet flowers, Sherly and Saiful hope that in the future their Flower Bouquet will add various models to develop products. And he also wants to take part in workshops to help teach others about his creativity. (ROM/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
