Booktalk with Boy Candra at Brawijaya Book Fair 2024 Event

The 2024 Brawijaya Book Fair held in front of the Gazebo of Universitas Brawijaya Library has become a magnet for literature lovers in this country. One of the most awaited moments is the talk show session with the best-selling author, Boy Candra. The event, which took place on Thursday (10/10/2024) at the Gazebo of Universitas Brawijaya Library, was filled with dozens of literature fans who enthusiastically attended the talk show entitled “Booktalk with Boy Candra”. This talented young writer from West Sumatra managed to amaze the audience with an in-depth discussion about the world of writing.

In this booktalk event, Boy Candra said that he had published 30 books in both fiction and non-fiction genres such as poetry and novels. Boy Candra also shared his personal experiences facing challenges as a writer in the digital era. The event, which started at 13.00-15.00 WIB, was not only a place to share inspiration. However, it also opened up an interactive discussion space between Boy Candra and his fans. Several participants also had the opportunity to do a question and answer session which would get a reward in the form of a book as an appreciation for their courage. On the sidelines of the event, Boy Candra also discussed plans to launch his latest book which will be released in November and also early next year.

Not only discussing his literary works, Boy Candra also gave tips to novice writers who want to enter the world of literacy. He emphasized the importance of consistency and courage to express themselves, even though the first writing may not be perfect. The booktalk event with Boy Candra was closed with a book signing session and a group photo. Many participants admitted to being inspired and motivated after attending this booktalk. Boy Candra also hopes that through this booktalk event, new writers will grow who will provide various colors in the world of writing.
