Universitas Brawijaya (UB) received a visit from the delegation of the National Development University (UPN) Veteran Jakarta on Thursday, August 15, 2024, for benchmarking activities. This visit aims to study various aspects related to international rankings and strategies for improving the institution’s reputation.
The arrival of UPN Veteran Jakarta delegation was welcomed directly by the Head of UB Reputation Unit, Adharul Muttaqin, S.T., M.T. In his remarks, Adharul appreciated UPN Veteran Jakarta’s initiative to improve the quality of international rankings and optimize competitiveness in the global arena. “Efforts to improve reputation cannot be burdened alone in units called rankings, reputation or whatever, but must involve all parties,” said Adharul.
This benchmarking activity includes in-depth discussions on various important topics, including QS Ranking, Webometrics, Unirank, UI Green Metric, as well as the integration system of planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of UB management in improving university rankings. In addition, the UPN Veteran Jakarta delegation also studied the role of libraries in improving repositories, public relations and ICT management to improve brand reputation, the Green Campus concept, as well as problem maps and alternative data collection solutions.
Satria Yudhia Wijaya, S.E., M.S.Ak., Head of LPMPP UPN Veteran Jakarta, in his speech stated that this benchmarking activity is an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and best practices. “We want to know how the organization in Brawijaya manages rankings and organizations. Hopefully with today’s activities, we will gain a lot of insight related to ranking management,” added Satria.
The discussion held by UPN Veteran Jakarta delegation involved several important parties from UB, including the Director of DTI, Director of DP3, Head of UPT Reputation, Head of UPT Library, Secretary of DTI, Head of Sub-Directorate of Planning, Head of International Reputation Center – UPT Reputation, Head of National Reputation Center – UPT Reputation, and Head of Public Relations of Universitas Brawijaya.
