Successfully to held the beauty class for staff, Counseling and Job Placement Unit (Bimbingan Konseling dan Penempatan Kerja/BKPK), then for the first time, Faculty of Computer Sciences University of Brawijaya (FILKOM UB) held a beauty class for its students on Friday (11/Mar/2016). The event was warmly welcomed by FILKOM UB’s students who intends to increase their knowledge on cosmetics with natural result and not much excessive.
Delivered by BKPK’s Head Wiwin Lukitohadi, SH, Psi., CHRM, students’ beauty class offered into two packages of participation. Firstly free package, of which students could attend the beauty class and to see makeup technique demonstrated by instructor of Wardah beauty products. Aimed for students who take voucher package, they would be given opportunities to purchase Wardah products. Both packages could be taken by purchasing 50,000 vouchers that could be used to buy Wardah products. For students who take voucher package would be given chances to directly practice makeup along with instructors with available cosmetic fixtures. Essentially the both are free since the voucher package also would be returned in form of products,” said Wiwin.
On the occasion, 40 students who attended as participants, 29 people among them took the voucher package. Not much different from what is taught during the sessions of the employee, on the occasion, students who attended were taught on how to have facial cleaning first before makeup. Afterwards, continued with applications of moisturizer, foundation and face powder. The next stage was makeup for the eyes with eye-shadow, eyeliner and mascara. Final touches can be used a blush-on and lipstick and also shadow-application to the nose area.
The participants join in each instruction enthusiastically. Once in a while instructors also help the participants who have difficulties on makeup application. FILKOM students who attend the event confessed to be excited in the beauty class program since able to get extra knowledge particularly about makeup technique in order to preparing professional world after graduation. “In my opinion the program is good. The cost also considered to be cheap. Since in other places, the cost range between 60,000 – 250,000 rupiahs depends on cosmetic products types to be used. Afterwards, the cost is only to participate in the class and not obtain products,” said Ainin, a 2013 Informatics student.
To see the FILKOM students’ positive responses, Wiwin mentioned that she will make the program as a routine agenda. “Its demands are aplenty. Partially, there were also students who intend to participate but do not know its registration yet. Even though has announced at FILKOM’s twitter and website.
