The Agency of Zakat Infaq and Shodaqoh (Bazis UB) again builds concern for others. This includes providing a proper place to live for Qur’an teacher whose house is used for TPQ (Qur’an Education Palce).
This is done by Prof. Ir. Imam Santoso. MP, Director of Bazis UB during the handover of house renovation assistance for Qur’an teacher of TPQ Darussaadah, jl. Joyo Tambaksari RT 5 RW 6 Merjosari Village, Tuesday (1/2/2022).
Previously, the house of this TPQ Qur’an teacher looked unfit to live in, and TPQ students often complain since the space for studying was too narrow. The house is only 4×8 meters in size with asbestos roof and construction of bamboo with earth floor without ceramics.
This Darussaadah TPQ is located on the edge of Brantas River by passing a small alley among houses of very close houses, making this TPQ one of the places to learn Qur’an for children in the area.
“We are building a synergy with Indonesian Respect team, Yatim Mandiri and Tanwir al Afkar Islamic Boarding School as well as various other social institutions to jointly realize this Qur’an teacher’s house so that it is suitable for TPQ,” said Prof. Imam Santoso who is also the Dean of FTP UB.
The cost required for the renovation of Qur’an teacher’s house is estimated at Ro 35 million to Rp 65 million.
“We invite philanthropists and Muslims in Malang, especially UB academic community, to let us build awareness together to help create a house of Qur’an Teacher which can be used by the surrounding community,” said Imam Santoso.
Djumaati, the house owner, said he was very grateful and thanks to Bazis UB and respect Indonesia and the Tanwir al Afkar Islamic boarding school which is managed by Kiai Muwafik Saleh who was willing to help renovate his house to be used as TPQ.
“Hopefully it will be a blessing in the afterlife,” said Djumaati, the owner of the house.
Meanwhile, Akhmad Muwafik Saleh, the Head of Respek Indonesia, who initiated the house renovation, said that the house renovation would be carried out around early March after funds is collected from the philanthropist. (*/Humas UB/ Trans. Iir).
