In order to deepen science related to human resources, the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya held a 3 in 1 guest lecture. This activity was held online on Saturday (9/10/2021). Presented as speakers in this guest lecture were Shereen Noranee, Ph.D, Associate Professor Department of International Business and Managerial Studies, Universiti Teknologi MARA, and Irwan Akhir Priaitmaja as Group Head of Corporate Culture and Capability Division of PT. Paragon Technology and Innovation.
In her presentation, Shereen explained about Job Satisfaction and Work Related Stress. According to Shereen, the majority of workers belonging to Z Generation group tend to dislike long working hours. “Gen Z is a special generation which also known as digital natives. They expect digitization not only in the work environment, but also at home,” he explained.
Job Statisfaction, seen from a person’s assessment of his work. “Job Satisfaction consists of several components, namely evaluations such as likes or dislikes, cognitive or perspective on work and attitudes towards the work given”, she explained.
According to Irwan, human capital and human resources are two different things. “Human capital plays a role in increasing company values. Human Resources must know the condition of the workforce in the field, to determine human resources in certain positions,” he explained.
