In order to enliven the FISIP – FIB Bakti Desa Universitas Brawijaya (FBD UB) activities, Group 28 of Sukodono Village held a painting and coloring competition which was also part of the series of Grebeg Suro events in Sukodono Village which was held from July 31 to August 1.
This coloring and painting competition was held on the first day along with the performances of elementary school/Islamic elementary school students in Sukodono Village. This competition took place on Wednesday, (7/31/2024).
The painting and coloring competition for elementary school/Islamic elementary school level aims to increase creativity and provide a place for children to express themselves in Sukodono Village. This event received a warm and lively welcome from the people of Sukodono Village.
This painting and coloring competition was participated by 6 elementary schools and Islamic elementary schools. Students in grades 1-3 participated in the coloring competition and grades 4-6 participated in the painting competition. The students looked very happy and excited to show their talents and creativity through the artwork that would be created. Not only children, parents, teachers, and other villagers also attended to provide support and encouragement.
The Head of the group 28 FBD UB, Haerun Nisak said that this activity was part of a group work program that focused on developing the potential of village children.
“We hope that through our last work program we can give a good impression and space for children to express themselves and show their talents for students,” said Haerun Nisak.
Each category of the painting and coloring competition was assessed by a jury from students of the Fine Arts Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Universitas Brawijaya who are experts in their fields. The winners received prizes and trophies which are expected to motivate children to continue working and developing their talents in arts.
The painting and coloring competition ended with the awarding of prizes to the winners, which were handed over directly by the Village Head. The people of Sukodono Village appreciated the initiative of the group 28 FBD UB and hoped that similar activities could continue to be held in the future and to continue to support the development of creativity of village children.
