Restu Karlina Rahayu S.IP., M.Sc., Ph.D officially serves as the Head of Government Science Study Program at Brawijaya University Malang for the 2024-2025 period.
This National Sun Yat-sen University alumnus replaces Ratnaningsih Damayanti S.IP., M.Ec.Dev who resigned because he wanted to continue his doctoral studies. Previously, Ratnaningsih served as the Head of Government Science Study Program for the 2023-2024 period.
The handover of positions was carried out on Monday (5/2/2024) in courtroom 7.1, C building, FISIP UB, which was witnessed directly by the Dean of FISIP UB, Prof. Anang Sujoko S.Sos., M.Sc., D.COMM and attended by lecturers of UB Government Science.
In his speech, Prof. Anang Sujoko expressed his gratitude to Ratnaningsih Damayanti who has served as the Head of the Government Science Study Program for the past year.
“One thing I remember most about Mrs. Ratna is that she was always responsive when it came to work. Even on weekends, she is ready to do the tasks given,” he explained.
Meanwhile, regarding the election of Restu Karlina Rahayu as the new Chair of the Government Science Study Program, Prof. Anang Sujoko explained that he did not decide unilaterally but listened first to the Government Science community, including suggestions from the previous Head of the Government Science Study Program.
Furthermore, the Professor of Media and Communication Studies hopes that all lecturers and staff in the Government Science Study Program will move together with the new chair of study program to realize the Main Performance Indicator (IKU) target in 2024.
