FH Delegation Wins the 2nd Place at the 2024 Frans Seda Cup

The Universitas Brawijaya’s delegation succeeded in winning 2nd place in the 2024 Frans Seda Cup National Moot Court Community (NMCC) competition

The Universitas Brawijaya’s delegation won 2nd place in the 2024 Frans Seda Cup National Moot Court Community (NMCC) competition organized by the Indonesian Catholic University Atma Jaya, South Jakarta, (27/5/2024).

This competition became the first opportunity for Universitas Brawijaya team to test their skills in the field of ITE crime, even though they had no previous experience.

“We don’t know the playing field will be like, since there are no seniors, former students or alumni who are truly experienced in that field, because this is about an ITE crime which articles and evidence are all ambiguous,” said delegation team representative Della Amanda Putri.

“From reviewing, development, filing, trials, there was a lot of revision. Maybe that’s also a factor in the fear of outsiders, afraid that we will lose, because we really don’t know the terrain there. “It really can only use our own efforts, group efforts, help from outsiders, and pray as hard as possible,” added the team representative.

This competition is not only challenging in terms of material, but also in terms of preparation and performance in moot court. However, Universitas Brawijaya team proved that with hard work and dedication, they were able to overcome all obstacles. They even managed to beat the defending champions in the preliminary round, which took them to the final round.

“Yesterday in the preliminary chamber, we were able to beat the defending champion, so we were able to qualify for the final. Prayers and efforts are what important,” he added.
