Students of FISIP-FIB Berbakti Desa Universitas Brawijaya (FBD UB) group 60 held “Agreng Kinaryo” as a closing ceremony as well as a farewell to the residents of Wonosari Village, Wonosari District, Malang Regency before the end of their service period.
Invited guests such as the Village Head, village officials, school principals, art figures, and visitors were seen arriving and filling the Pijiombo Dance Studio, the venue where Agreng Kinaryo was held. As the name implies, Agreng Kinaryo successfully attracted the attention of the residents of Pijiombo and Kampungbaru Hamlets to enliven the event until the end.
The event was opened with a fashion show by students of SDN 01 and SDN 03 Wonosari, who were also activity partners for approximately 45 days of service by group 60 in Wonosari Village.
It was continued with a special performance in the form of a flashmob dance by KKN students as the icon of Universitas Brawijaya. This series of events was also enlivened by the performance of the Madyo Utomo Mask Dance from Pijiombo Hamlet and Pencak Silat Joyo Budoyo from Kampungbaru Hamlet.
Not only art performances, as a souvenir and token of gratitude for the partnership with the school, the work in the form of a tablecloth made of Batik Dewandaru created by the students was handed over to Irawan, Principal of SDN 01 Wonosari and Umbar, Principal of SDN 03 Wonosari. Then, as a form of gratitude for the Batik Dewandaru partnership, the students presented an award to Mrs. Suherni as the activist of Batik Dewandaru Wonosari Village.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all elements of Pijiombo and Kampungbaru communities for providing us with space to spread benefits to the community. Our great hope is that this Agreng Kinaryo event can provide a positive impression from the Wonosari community to us,” said Muhammad Raflie Naufal Majid, Village Coordinator of Group 60 FBD UB in his speech.
With the slogan “One Stage, a Million Works”, the Agreng Kinaryo event was closed with a screening of a documentary video that had been made by KKN students during their 45 days of service in Wonosari Village. The video featured various aspects, including the Topeng Dance art in Pijiombo Hamlet, Bantengan art, Batik Dewandaru UMKM, and bamboo crafts in Kampungbaru Hamlet.
“It is hoped that through Agreng Kinaryo, we can maintain and preserve very valuable local values and wisdom. However, hopefully everything that Group 60 has done is the best they can offer to all the residents of Wonosari Village, Gunung Kawi, especially the residents of Pijiombo Hamlet and Kampung Baru,” said Yohanes Padmo Adi Nugroho S.S., M.Hum, Field Supervisor (DPL) of group 60 in his speech at the Agreng Kinaryo event represented by the deputy village coordinator.
