The Accounting Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business held an activity with the theme “ACCA Goes to Campus” to make it easier for students to gain new knowledge and experience in the industrial world, especially in the field of accounting, Sunday (26/2/2024).
Present at the event were the Head of Accounting Department, Yeney Widya Prihatiningtias, DBA., Ak., Country Manager & Chief Representative ACCA Indonesia, Julia Simatupang and Business Relationship Manager ACCA Indonesia, Afif Alfarizi. Also present were representatives from Paragon Corp, namely Finance Business Partner Paragon, Anna R. Wardah and Human Resource Business Partner for Finance Paragon, Nurika Sakina.
The event began with remarks from Mrs. Yeney Widya Prihatiningtias, DBA., Ak., as Chair of the Accounting Department. In her speech, she hoped to increase new students’ insight into the world of industry and strengthen cooperation between ACCA and FEB.
The next speech was delivered by Julia Simatupang as a representative from ACCA, followed by material presentations from Anna and Nurika. Anna explained the importance of increasing insight in the world of accounting, where the world of accounting demands extensive knowledge to keep up with ever-changing business developments. Nurika added by explaining the importance of building relationships, communicating and expanding knowledge because the quality of human resources is very influential on the company’s success. The event closed with a final explanation from Afif regarding the current ACCA qualifications [sha, 2024/OKY/UB PR/ Trans. Iir].
